Major assignment for this sem- DOGS, DOGS and MORE DOGS!!
ooo, hey peeps, just wanna say a quick thank you for the photo entries of your dogs in which some of you have responded through my note on msn the other day. appreciate it! Don't worry ah..your dogs look stunning in my assignment with some touch up from the pro; mr. Photoshop 7.0! =)
Yesterday, we had Tim Costello (the founder of World Vision) at our Ignite meeting in church. The message spoken was linked back to the discussion we had the other day in our cell group where we were all challenged by this very one question :
"Who are your neighbours?"
And very often, our 'neighbours' list would only consist of our family, friends and a couple of people we know around our neighbourhood. The challenge was to look at who Jesus's neighbours were in the Bible. Apart from the 12 disciples, it didn't really say much about his family or his close buddies. His neighbours were the people that the society didn't cared about, people that were cast away, looked down at . And in every story, Jesus extended out such mercy, grace and love towards them. and whatya know, stories were even written abt them as they encountered Jesus. How significant can that be to have your story being written in the Bible like the lady with the alabester jar of perfume or Zacchaues, the tax collector.

"...but when you give a banquet, invite the poort, the crippled, the lame, the blind...
"Then the master told his servant, "go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full..." Luke 14: 13, 23

School Yard Blitz

Had such a fun time today as we were helping out as a church to paint and clean a primary school. It was such an amazing opportunity to reach out and truly love and care for our neighbours/community. The highlight of my day was being surrounded with my prep kids that I teach in sunday school. Each of them took their turns on my paint brush. Their little hands and clothes got dirty but they did such a good job at the end of the day. hmm..never underestimate what little children can do. Minus the mess and dirt! hehe
