for joy comes in the morning

Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. psalms 30:5

Joy is such an important thing in our lives. Ethan has been such a sweet reminder to me about joy. It takes off every pressure of you trying to be perfect, uplifts the heart and soul. We can sometimes trade our joy in with our dissapointments in life, bitterness, unforgiveness, abandonment, unmet desires, hopes and dreams. The changes that take place in the condition of our hearts can be so subtle at times. We might not even realize that we're giving our hearts away to other stuff than to God Himself. As girls, we're more prone to give our hearts away to stuff/earthly treasures..eg: our work, relationships, passion, the boy next door, our past. Our hearts have been told that it is the wellspring of life. It reveals the mystery of God, who He is, who we are and the purpose of our lives. Joy is more than just a feeling. It embraces truth and the very life that God has designed for his children.

"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. hebrews 12: 1-3

Joy.
